What happens after you apply.

    We read your application

    A person reads every application, and we reply to everyone within a week.

  2. 02

    A short video call

    Meet the team and ask anything. There's no commitment.

  3. 03

    Find a date

    We agree a shoot date that suits you.

  4. 04

    Release and shooting level

    You review and sign the model release, and we agree the level you're comfortable shooting at. You can always go lower on the day.

  5. 05

    The shoot

    Two to three hours, at your pace.

  6. 06

    Paid on the day

    £120 (or local equivalent): per person for Riding Solo, per couple for Sunday Morning, plus £30 for Inside Out.

  7. 07

    Your images

    You receive at least three edited digital images, plus prints of the eight photos of you that appear in the book.

What people ask first.

Do I need modelling experience?

No. We don't work with professional models. We work with real people.

Is this paid work? How much?

Yes. Riding Solo shoots pay £120 per person and Sunday Morning shoots pay £120 per couple (or the local-currency equivalent), paid on the day. The Inside Out add-on pays an extra £30. We never charge participants anything.

How quickly will I hear back?

We reply to every application within a week, whether or not we can offer you a shoot.

Can I stay anonymous?

You can appear under a pseudonym, and many participants do. Your face does need to be in the photographs: the books are portraits of real people.

How do you check age and ID?

Everyone must be 18 or over. On the day of the shoot we take a copy of your ID, or you can verify your ID in advance through our partner platform, EqualFrame.

Where do you shoot?

We shoot in the UK, USA, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, the Netherlands and Australia. We schedule shoots in a city once enough people there have applied, so apply wherever you are.

Will my photos appear online?

Your images are made for the printed book, which is a limited run and never published digitally. We only ever share an outtake online if you've given us permission for that specific image.
