Spotting a scam
How to spot a nude modelling scam
These warning signs apply to anyone who asks you to model nude, not only us. If you see one, walk away.
Warning sign: They ask you to pay: a registration fee, a portfolio fee, a 'test shoot' you pay for.
What we do: We never charge participants anything. You're paid: Riding Solo shoots pay £120 per person and Sunday Morning shoots pay £120 per couple (or the local-currency equivalent), paid on the day. The Inside Out add-on pays an extra £30.
Warning sign: They want explicit photos before you have even spoken.
What we do: The only photo we ask for is one clear photo of your face.
Warning sign: They won't talk to you first, or push you to shoot straight away.
What we do: There's always a short video call with one of our photographers first, with no commitment, and we agree a date that suits you.
Warning sign: There's nothing in writing, or they're vague about where the photos will go.
What we do: You review and sign a model release before the shoot, and you can add your own conditions. Book photographs appear only in print, never online.
Warning sign: They don't want you to bring anyone.
What we do: You can always bring a chaperone, without telling us in advance.
Warning sign: They don't check your age.
What we do: Everyone must be 18 or over. We take a copy of your ID on the day, or you can verify it in advance through EqualFrame.
Warning sign: You can't find any real work they've published.
What we do: Our first two books sold out, and our work has been exhibited in London, Berlin and Stockholm.

How we keep shoots safe
Before the shoot you choose one of five intimacy levels, from no nudity to erotic imagery, and you can go lower at any time on the day. Usually it's just you and the photographer. You can ask for a photographer of a particular gender, and you can always bring a chaperone.

Is Cesare House legit?
Yes. Cesare House is an independent photography studio founded in London in 2016. It is run by Aaron, Cat and Diana. It has published two limited-edition books, Riding Solo (2022) and Sunday Morning (2024), which both sold out, and its work has been exhibited at NOW Gallery in London, Haze Gallery in Berlin and Fotografiska in Stockholm. It never charges participants, and every shoot is paid on the day.
Does Cesare House charge models?

Who is behind Cesare House?
Cesare House is run by Aaron, Cat and Diana, from London. Before anything is agreed, you'll have a video call with one of our photographers. It may not be the photographer who shoots with you, because you can ask for a photographer of a particular gender and dates don't always line up. The company details are set out in the model release you sign.
Will my photos end up online?
No. Photographs taken for a book appear only in the printed book. They're never published online or licensed to third parties. We only share an outtake online if you give us permission for that specific image.
How do I know I will be paid?
You're paid on the day of the shoot, so there's no invoicing and no waiting. We've paid every model we've ever worked with. A few chose to put their fee back into the pot to pay for other models.
Can I speak to someone who's modelled for you?
Yes. You're welcome to talk to people who've modelled for us, including the people quoted and pictured on this site. Ask us on the video call.
What happens to my application data?
A person reads every application and we reply within a week. Your details are handled under UK and EU data protection law, and you can ask us to delete them. Our privacy policy has the details.
